How to Promote Your Sites to Ensure a Steady Flow of Traffic

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

We all know that in order to be successful in Internet marketing business, we have to promote our websites to generate a steady and increasing number of visitors. This is true whether you are promoting a product, a service or a business opportunity. Also, it does not matter whether you are promoting your own products or somebody else’s via an affiliate program.

In the process, you would probably come across many challenges some of which are listed below:

1) It is too expensive

Most of the newbies when first started out, are not willing to invest financially due to lack of knowledge and uncertainties. Especially with those lacking the required budget, there is a great reluctance to spend on promotion. Hence the progress of promotion is very slow in the beginning. It takes time to study all the countless and seemingly very attractive offers and to make the decision to part with their money.

2) Can this offer still work?

With the Internet, what used to work 6 months ago might not work now or two months down the road. For example, E-books or articles on the 12 top search engines published 3 months ago might no longer be valid. The recommended strategy would therefore no longer apply.

3) It takes to long to learn

How often have you heard this: “You don’t have to be a computer techy. In fact you don’t have to have any computer knowledge as long as you can type and send an e-mail! Our software would do all the jobs for you!”?……… Once you have done the process of ordering and parted with your money, you realize to your disappointment and frustration that it’d take months for you to learn the so-called a-few- easy-steps procedure.

One of the main reasons most Internet marketers have given up after having failed to achieve any positive results is the fact that they have wasted too much time searching for the ideal the promotional strategies. Whatever they have tried or purchased do not work according to plan or the promise given. As a result, there is still no effective system to ensure traffic flow to their sites after months or even years.

One of your objectives should therefore be putting at least one or two traffic-generating systems such as writing and submitting articles to directories and optimising search engines (SEO) through the selection of keywords. This entails only minimal financial commitment on your part.
If you are good in writing and enjoy doing it, you might decide to write your own articles. Otherwise you could join an article cooperative to get access to private label articles OR hire someone to write articles for you.

Let’s discuss the differences of these 3 possibilities:

1) Do Your Own Research and Write Your Own Articles.

The main advantage of writing your own articles is that it’s “free” and it would give you a sense of pride in accomplishment. You might enjoy writing articles to share your experience in Internet online business. The downside is that it’d take up some of your time to conduct some research work.

2) Join An Article Cooperative to Get Pre-written Articles.

A recommended article cooperative is InfoGoRound where you could get hundreds of pre-written articles for a small enrolment fee. From these you could choose those discussing subjects related to the content of your website. These are referred to as the “Private label articles” which you have full permission to use and also add your own name and article resource box to the article as the author.

3) Hire Someone to Write Articles For You.

If you are not comfortable writing your own articles or if you find it too much a hassle especially when you’re new to this business or if you do not fancy pre-written articles due to lack of originality, you could use an article ghost writing service such as Just Articles to put your own ideas into writing.

For a relatively small fee you can get your articles written very quickly.

For article marketing on the Internet, articles written with between 400-700 words would suffice. It goes without saying that your articles must be relevant to your Internet business. Hence topic of your articles should be related to: “working at home”, “home based business”, “Internet marketing”, “making money online”, “promoting a website”, etc.

Submitting your articles and getting them re-published on others’ websites and newsletters/ezines is one of the most powerful Internet marketing strategies. Your articles will then start working as a free advertisement for you forever. And you do not have to pay even a dime for such advertising space. You will continue to enjoy free traffic driven to your website for a long, long time!

Search engines are the first things Internet surfers look for when they are searching for goods or services. Where your website appears to the visitors in their search results is of utmost importance. The objective of all Internet marketers is to ensure that their URLs appear right at the top of the first page or at least the first 50th position since this would mean higher chances of the visitors clicking on the most prominent URLs.
First and foremost, it is the Keyword. Keywords are the foundation on which the entire search engine system works. If a top ranking site suddenly drops drastically, it may mean that certain content of the website has become invisible or inaccessible to search engine spiders and crawlers. Very often certain particular keyword or phrase has been ineffective due to fierce competition.

Hence, Search engine optimization refers to the development of the right keyword strategies to ensure good ranking of your website. The most effective advertising technique online today is good placement in the search engines.

In conclusion, with writing and distributing articles and optimizing search engines, you would have at least two effective systems to ensure traffic flow to their sites after months or even years.

What Controls These Three Parts?

As players we NEED to understand that we MUST control the three parts of the golf club in order to strike quality golf shots. These three parts are:

1. The clubface

2. The clubhead

3. The clubshaft

These three parts MUST be controlled through three Stations – from Address, to the Top, and to the Finish. You’ll notice that Impact is NOT included in these locations.

Impact does not have the rank of a station simply because it happens if you have controlled the club through the three Stations.

1. The left hand controls the clubface and its job is to impart “Hinge Action” to the face supplying direction, trajectory, and curvature. These three “Hinge Actions” are known as (1)Vertical – a wall, (2) Horizontal – a floor, and (3)Angled – somewhere in between.

In a Geometrically correct golf stroke (ideal application) the Horizontal Hinge Action is used. This action works just like a door that is opening and closing. While on a Horizontal Plane it is clear to see that there is NO turning or rolling in either direction. But on an Inclined Plane of motion there is a turn to the right and a roll to the left.

2. The right hand – more specifically the first joint of the right index finger – controls the clubhead, its job is to sense where the clubhead is at all times and to direct the action of the clubhead. Using what is known as the “Aiming Point Concept” the direction and point of location in the downstroke varies according to hand speed, and the club being used. The shorter the club the more in front of the golf ball the “Aiming Point” is.

For example, when hitting a greenside bunker shot the player should be looking at a spot behind the golf ball. This is because that’s where we want the club to strike the sand.

The same principle applies here. A wedge for example would be in front of the ball. A 5 iron would be at the ball, and a Driver may be behind the ball.

3. Finally, the clubshaft controls the Plane. The Plane is the angle that the club moves back and down on. It can stay on the same Inclined Plane back and down, shift to another angle, or even have several shifts during the stroke. The simplest is to NOT shift at all. The next easiest is to only shift this plane angle once, then two shifts, then three shifts, etc. Annika Sorenstam, Tiger (when he’s on), Adam Scott, Michelle Wie, and host of others use either a “single” shift in their procedures. Nick Price, Nick Faldo and others use a “double” shift while Jim Furyk uses a “customized” plane and multiple shifts.

You can use any of these and obviously play great golf, but remember – ANY PLANE SHIFT IS DANGEROUS!

Learn to control these three parts of the golf club and you will be on your way to golfing “Nirvana”.

Copy Writing For The Web: 6 Facts That Will Help You Write Web Copy that Sells

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Do you buy your products and services from a trusted source? These 6 facts will help you build a better online brand and forge effective marketing connections.

Think about where you buy your groceries, your clothing and your electronics. Do you trust these stores, these brands and these products?

FACT 1: The relationship comes first!
People buy from people they know, like and trust. The best way to do this is to offer value. This means giving them education, information, facts and ideas on how your products fit their needs. Be consistent with your offers. For example in an email campaign, present a consistent branding format or layout. Use consistent mailing times, consistent yet intriguing nomenclature in the subject line and other standards you have created. Don’t confuse the reader.

FACT 2: We respond to our name. Make it personal! Add personalization when you can. Make the reader feel like you personally wrote a note to them.

Consider this: if you were out shopping and someone yelled your name, whether the person is call you or someone with your name, your ears will perk up immediately. When we hear our name, we pause and listen. Think about it,

FACT 3: Curiosity causes clicks! We want our user to take action. Have you ever read an email subject line that says, “(Your Name), Do you know Sally”? This makes that user curious and they have to click to find out about Sally.

FACT 4: Involvement is necessary for any great relationship! Whether you are writing an email, creating a podcast, a poll or a video, it is important to get your audience involved. Ask questions in whatever media you use. Talk about people’s problems. And don’t forget your audience is tuned into WIIFM: What’s in it for me. You need to help them achieve what they need to accomplish.

FACT 5: We make buying decisions based on emotional factors! For example: Fear of loss: If people feel that are going to lose their chance to receive the product or service they are more likely to act now vs. later. Fear of loss can be demonstrated with a limited time offer, a deadline, a price change or a bonus offer.

FACT 6: Clear process instructions sell!
Tell your prospect exactly what you want them to do. What steps do they need to take? Make them simple, clear and concise. “Go here now.” “Visit this page.” “Click here.” You get the idea because you are a consumer, too. Be an intentional consumer and note what works to sell you. More than likely, it is a proven technique that you can use in your own business.

Lawn Care Business Customers – Not All In One Basket Please

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

Are You Lawn Accounts Diversified?

Diversification of your customer base can avoid the hard times
from other accounts.

Many businesses are made up of a certain type of customers. These
can include homeowners, apartments, office complexes, or
government accounts.

Diversity of your market segment can protect your business from
the ups and downs of different market segments.

For example, I have 2 friends who are brothers that work for
their dad. He owns a printing company. They supply one local bank
with all their printing needs. This makes up about 60% of their
work. If this bank merges with another, as many do, they may lose
this account. That could put the printing company out of
business. To this day they are not aggressively going after more
accounts. I have never understood this.

Market mix should be made up of multiple market segments.

I recommend business owners maintain at least 30-40 residential
accounts as a good base. This keeps the income flowing weekly as
most commercial accounts pay 30-60 days after invoice.

After you have these 30-40 accounts established, try to tackle
a few commercial accounts.

For those that only have 10-15 lawns, market for new business
around your already established lawns you feel are the most
profitable. It is better to acquire business close to existing
accounts as the drive time will be significantly reduced.

Some ask me “How do I gain commercial accounts if I have no
commercial references?”

My answer is this…

1. Submit good references from existing customers

2. Make sure your price is competitive

3. Sell yourself

Many people buy from someone they like, not necessarily from the
company. Be likeable!!

Remember these things when going after different types of accounts.

1. Is there enough potential there

2. Does the customer seem to look for the lowest bids (government
accounts)

3. Does it seem possible to maintain long-term business
relationships

4. Can you meet the customers expectations

Never put all your eggs in one basket, diversification is
important to keep a business thriving.

Best of Luck!

Buy new real estate with easy loans, 372495 euro is not a problem

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

And of course, each loan and each borrower are different. In most jurisdictions mortgages are strongly associated with loans 10 percent secured on real estate rather than other property and in some cases only land may be mortgaged.

A mortgage is the pledging of a property to a lender as a security for a mortgage loan for 9 percent. Some will quote you precise, competitive rates 9 percent. Start with credibility. It’s not easy to know if the prices quoted by lenders are reliable. Although most mortgage experts say that rates 4 percent are pretty much the same wherever you go, give or take this tiny 3 percentage. In other words, the mortgage is a security for the loan that the lender makes to the borrower. Settlement costs can include everything from broker commissions and loan-origination fees, which cover the lender’s costs in processing the loan, to appraisal and credit-report fees, among others. But others will claim low rates to bring in customers or tell you that the rates 9 percent offered by competitors will change.

Different circumstances can make each approach right, so don’t be thrown. Many of these fees are fixed but some can be negotiated.

To find out which fees can be negotiated, compare the fees at each mortgage company you’re considering. Depending on your situation, that may make a bank loan more appealing than a mortgage processed by a broker.

See which lenders are charging fees 8 percent and for how much. Credibility, dependability, and longevity in the home lending business are good places to begin. Arranging a mortgage is seen as the standard method by which individuals and businesses can purchase residential and commercial real estate without the need to pay the full value immediately. It is a transfer of an interest in land, from the owner to the mortgage lender, on the condition that this interest will be returned to the owner of the real estate when the terms of the mortgage have been satisfied or performed.

Brokers work with many mortgage bankers and, as a result, can sometimes find slightly more competitive rates 9 percent perhaps lower but dealing directly with a mortgage banker can move a loan along more quickly. Different lenders charge different fees. So how do you find a lender or broker you can trust’ See mortgage loan for residential mortgage lending, and commercial mortgage for lending against commercial property. While a mortgage in itself is not a debt, it is evidence of a debt of 8 percent. Both banks and brokers have their strengths and weaknesses.

They Know the Power of BEING!

What do Donald Trump, Gandhi and Olympic Athletes Have in Common?

They know the Power of BEING!

Donald Trump makes about $2 million in salary alone each year. That’s about 50 times the salary of someone who makes $40,000 per year. Now, do you think “The Donald” is 50 times smarter than someone who makes $40,000 per year? Do you think he works 50 times more hours? Maybe you think Donald Trump works 50 times harder than someone who makes $40,000 per year.

Well, he doesn’t.

Donald Trump knows the Power of BEING.

Do you remember reading about Gandhi and his efforts to free India and bring peace to the Nation? Do you remember what Gandhi said about changing the world?
He didn’t say, “Go out and change the world.”

He didn’t say, “Get up off the couch and go DO something.”

Gandhi said, “BE the change that you want to see in the world.”

Gandhi knew the Power of BEING.

Olympic Athletes: Have you ever watched a downhill skier prepare for his run while he is up in the ski hut? Before his skis ever touch snow, he is bobbing and weaving, moving his head and body back and forth. You know what he is doing? He is BEING gold medal run. He is imagining himself carving all of the perfect turns, gaining and losing speed just at the right times, catching air over the high spots, but not too much, then crossing the finish line with the fastest time of all the other skiers. Then he imagines himself stepping up to the medals platform during the ceremony. He imagines himself stepping up to the top platform and bowing his head down to receive his GOLD medal.

Before his skiis ever touch snow, he is BEING gold medal run.

Olympic athletes know the Power of BEING.

To harness the Power of BEING is to harness the Power of the Universe. DOING is an important part of the creative process, but BEING is a thousand times more powerful than doing.

I heard a story about a man who could attach himself to a 747 jet through the use of a special vest and a steel cable, then he could pull the jet 100 feet down the runway using only his human strength to do it!

Very impressive, unless you consider the possibilities if a pilot were in the cockpit while he was putting on this show.

Instead of using his own human strength to move the aircraft down the runway, he could’ve signaled to the pilot to fire up the engines and they could’ve traveled around the world!

That’s the difference between DOING and BEING.

When you are truly BEING your goal, you are UNSTOPPABLE!
TOOL: When you put “To DO” items in your planner, precede the action, with the goal that you want to accomplish. Let’s say that you want to lose 10 pounds in the next two months and go from a weight of 160 to 150. If you are going to workout today with that goal in mind, write your planner entry like this:

“I am 150 pounds – 20 min workout today”

That way the BEING (I am 150 pounds) leads to the DOING (20 min workout today).
Just give it a shot. You have nothing to lose, except a few pounds!

A Tale of Four Dog Foods: Choosing the Best Chow for Your Hound

Monday, August 4th, 2008

We all love our dogs and want to give them the best life has to offer. But with so many variations of dog food in the market, it isn’t always easy to identify the best food for our dog. Who can possibly feel confident when so many brands trumpet buzzwords that hit the human aisles not long ago, such as “rich in antioxidants,” “highly digestible,” “Omega-3 fatty acids” and “Ultra Premium Formula”?

What we can do, though, is to conduct a simple dog food comparison to determine which foods best fit our dog’s requirements and our personal schedule. After all, some foods offer much greater convenience than the more natural, less processed types of food which may require freezing, thawing, cooking and preparation.

Convenience aside, the best food to give your dog depends not on the brand or the style, but rather on your dog’s age and any special requirements he might have. For example, older dogs require food containing a careful balance of protein, fat and fiber. Most commercial dog food companies address this need with offerings such as senior dog food, containing about 18 % protein, and food for dogs diagnosed with renal failure, containing about 14% protein.

Dare to Compare Dry Dog Food
The vast majority of dog owners go for dry dog food. Between the supermarket and specialty pet stores, owners enjoy many brands to choose from. Dry dog food consists of kibble typically made from one primary ingredient such as chicken, beef or lamb. More specifically, the main ingredient is usually a meat byproduct that’s been processed, dried and sold in packs or bags for easy dispensing. Needless to say, meat byproducts are far cheaper than meat, so this type of dog food is not only easy to store, it’s much less expensive than other types.

Hard kibble comes with some advantages. For example, it gives your dog’s mouth some exercise, and kibble’s less likely to contribute to plaque than softer foods.

When comparing brands, it helps to remember that there are essentially two types of dry dog food on the market: premium dog food and economy dog food. A smart owner will avoid purchasing the economy food, which is made from lower grade ingredients (for example, economy dog food will often substitute cheap corn for the more expensive meat byproducts). The “end” result, as it were, is that your dog can’t absorb many nutrients but simply passes the food through his body. So in addition to enjoying less nutrition, your dog will produce larger stools — and you might find yourself with more frequent vet bills.

Other Popular Contenders: Canned, Semi-Moist and More
Other categories of dog food include the semi-moist type and canned food. Many owners like to mix in some canned food with dry food, to potentially cover more nutritional bases without taking too big a hit to the pocketbook.

Semi-moist food is attractively convenient to owners, and dogs love it. Unfortunately, it may cause dental problems in the mid-term and worse in the long term, because semi-moist food is loaded with corn syrup and other sugars, which dogs just aren’t designed to process.

Recently, more natural, “premium” dog food has been introduced to the market, in which higher quantities of quality, nutritious ingredients are used to manufacture the food — often human-grade, in fact. Since vegetables, fruits, real meat and quality grains are used as the primary protein source in the highest-quality dog foods, these foods are a fast route to healthy skin and beautiful fur. For the most part, they contain no artificial coloring and preservatives, but are chock-full of vitamins and minerals instead.

Although this food costs more, you can feed your dog less of it, because it’s more nutritionally dense. So in terms of both convenience and nutrition, a premium, natural dog food is one of the best choices available to your dog, whether off-the-shelf or purchased online.

Yoga in Practice: Ten Solutions for Depressed Yoga Students, Part 3

Friday, August 1st, 2008

Put Ideas into Action: Procrastination in, and of itself, can cause many poor outcomes. Setting goals, and writing them down, was discussed earlier, but those steps are worthless without putting your plans into action.

The “dreamer” who comes up with a great idea, and watches someone else put a similar idea into action, is truly depressed. Sometimes, great ideas are being worked on at the opposite side of the Earth, and it’s just a matter of who puts the idea into action first.

There are also co-workers and supervisors who will gladly take the credit for your ideas. Therefore, do not waste time or procrastinate in any way. If you make a mistake, use it to your advantage and learn from it, but don’t “sit on an idea.”

One last point to cover on this subject is how often we judge ourselves harshly. In my Yoga classes, I often mention “non-judgment” of others, but we are our own worst critics in this life. No one else will ever be as harsh as we can be to ourselves. So, stop criticizing your own ideas, before they get started, and put them into action.

Pranayama: Simple breath awareness alone can help relieve anxiety and depression. When you combine this with meditation, Pranayama can be a powerful tool. As a Yoga practitioner, you know many Yogic breathing techniques, but students should have a few “go to” Pranayama techniques for daily stress and some for severe stress.

Ujjayi Pranayama would be the first selection; translated to English this means, “victory or victorious breath.” Therefore, it is no accident that this particular Pranayama will purge depression and inner fears. As a matter of fact, Ujjayi Pranayama will instill confidence.

If Yoga students practice Ujjayi Pranayama, with an Asana sequence such as Sun Salutations or a Vinyasa series, they will conquer mild depression and develop new found confidence in themselves.

There are many more Yogic solutions for anyone to get rid of depression and gain confidence in his or her self, but these ten methods are familiar to Yoga teachers and most Yoga students. Yoga practice needs to be taken home, just like homework. If a Yoga student truly wants to see results, the practice of Yoga has to be maintained on a regular basis.

Within Yoga are many facets, but all of them lead to good health. A Yoga student who practices “once in a while,” is better off than never having practiced at all, but should not expect to see significant results. This is why Yoga teachers have to tell their students the truth about expectations.

Do not “sugar coat” a Yoga student’s responsibility to practice Yoga on an almost daily basis. This is also how a medical prescription works. Can you imagine what would happen if patients took their prescribed medicine once in a while?

Continuity is the key to good health and a steady Yoga practice will yield good mental, physical, and spiritual health. This is also true for everything worth attaining in life.
